Ime Ogba (Age Grade) Ceremony of Omaduwenu Village

The age grade system in Igbo land, known as otu ọgbọ, uke, or egbo, is a traditional, socio-cultural institution organizing people of similar ages (usually within 1–5 years) into unions that drive community development, security, and social cohesion.

Omaduwen is one of the seven villages in Ebe, and they are located in the Ikenga divide. Ebe is one of the towns in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State. Ebe is also known as the 1st son of Ojebe-Ogene.

Ime Ogba serves as a vital structure for collective action, transforming sets of people through various life stages, including tasks like infrastructure development, policing, and enforcing laws, and is central to maintaining social order in Igbo communities.
